On Wednesday, October 12, 2022 an award ceremony was held at The Knights of Columbus Hall for members of Colonials Community Volunteer Corps. Many dignitaries were present to thank the volunteers and present them with certificates. Several volunteers received special recognition for their efforts. Braydon Fatzie and Brandon Moore were recognized for giving 100 hours of volunteer time; Kevin Cattell, Kathy Hanlon and Gabby Hanlon got giving 250 hours of volunteer time. Volunteers are involved in many projects including, graffiti removal, community clean ups, flowers for friends and community gardens.
After the formal ceremony guests were invited to stay for refreshments including baked goods made by volunteer Maria Steinbach.
