Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum

The teaching strategies creative curriculum helps children become independent, self confident, inquisitive learners. The curriculum teaches them how to learn in preschool and throughout their lives. Children will learn at their own pace and in the ways that are best for them. In doing so they develop good habits and attitudes, practicing a positive sense of themselves, which will make a difference throughout their lives.

  • Creative Curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development.
  • Social: To help children feel comfortable in school, trust their environment, make friends, and feel they are a part of the group.
  • Emotional: To help children experience pride and self-confidence, develop independence and self-control, and have a positive attitude toward life.
  • Cognitive: Assists children to become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and words to describe their ideas, observations, and feelings.
  • Physical: Helps children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.

Brightwheel

We recently started using Brightwheel, a tool for classroom management, communication, photos, videos, online bill pay, and much more. Brightwheel is the industry leader in early education, proven to save time for staff, allowing for measurably more time with students, while also delivering a much better experience for parents.

Parent communication is essential and one of the core features of Brightwheel. Our premium messaging feature is easy to use and wonderfully efficient at keeping in touch with parents throughout the day. Creating a new message is simple and can be done on the web from the messaging portal or from any room in the mobile app. All messages sent from the school will alert all parent contacts associated with the student’s profile.

Reviews from Parents!!!

Nicke family: We love Colonial because of the way they love and take care of my baby girl. Kassidy enjoys going to Colonial and has learned so much. I feel so comfortable dropping her off knowing she’s in good hands.

Stretch family: Both of our children have been attending since may 2020. The staff has always communicated with us anything going on with our children. The staff does an incredible job teaching the children and has gone above and beyond what’s required in the curriculum. They celebrate holidays, birthdays, and create beautiful projects to keep the kids entertained with hands on experience.

Patrick family: The communication between caregivers/staff and parents is great! They sue the Brightwheel app to keep parents posted on their child’s day and important updates. All of the teachers are very motivated and come up with creative crafts to keep our little ones busy and curious. The daycare really seems like one big family!! It really puts my mind at ease knowing my daughter is with caregivers that truly care.

Murphy family: My child loves going to “school”. She feels comfortable and safe with all the great and caring staff. She gets supper excited to go learn and play with all the amazing children and staff at Colonial! We love the hands on learning, gross and fine motor engagement and well planned theme activities their program offers.

Dawn P: What makes this facility special to my family, is the ongoing communication with the staff about my child. The care she receives during her time there is like she is spending time with family. I know when I drop her off, she is being cared for and developing her age appropriate skills.
