On Tuesday Afternoon January 7th the William Floyd United Federation of Teachers presented a jacket to a member of Colonial Community Volunteer Corps. Colonials Community Volunteer Corps is sponsored by Colonial Youth and Family Services. A jacket was awarded to an active group member who has given at least 500 hours of their time to help with such activities as graffiti removal, community clean ups, holiday assistance, flowers for friends and special community events. A jacket was given to Michelle Romero.
If you are a student in the William Floyd School District in grades six through twelve and would like to be a volunteer call 281-4461 and ask for Ray or Sam about registration information.
