Award to CCVC volunteer from Suffolk County Exective

On May 1, 2019 Michelle Romero will receive an award from the Suffolk County Executive…Colonials Community Volunteer Corps and Colonial Youth and Family Services has nominated her for all her work with the group. Below is a little bit about what Michelle Romero has done with Colonials Community Volunteer Corps.

Michelle Romero is a member of Colonials Community Volunteer Corps. She has been an active member with Colonial Youth and Family Services for six years.
Michelle participates as a member of Colonials Community Volunteer Corps and has helped with many projects.
In addition to attending weekly training sessions Michelle has helped with Community Gardens, the Summer Youth Mural Project, Community Clean-Ups, graffiti removal, publishing a volunteer newsletter, holiday assistance, the Holiday Christmas Parade, Breakfast with Santa, the Community Eggstravaganza, the Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, the Blue Claw Crab Festival and Community Education.
Through this project, Michelle has volunteered 382 hours of her time. Michelle is an excellent example of community volunteerism. She is eager to help others and display a caring attitude in everything she is involved with. Michelle works consistently to make her community a better place for all. We appreciate Michelle’s good attitude and extraordinary efforts.
