Volunteers help at Crab Festival

On Sunday August 27th members of Colonials Community Volunteer Corps, Sponsored by Colonial Youth and Family Services helped at the annual Blue Claw Crab Festival, Sponsored by the Mastic Beach Property Owners Association. Volunteer members worked hard all day at this event.

Volunteers started the day by helping to set up, and then to pick up litter and empty garbage cans throughout the day. Volunteers also helped at the beverage table. At the end of the day volunteers helped to clean up.

Members of the Property Owners Association thanked the Volunteers Corps for their Valuable assistance. Volunteer members expressed an interest to help again next yet.

If you are a student in the William Floyd School District in grades six through twelve and would like to be a volunteer call 631-281-4461 and ask for Ray or Sam about registration information.

If you would like to make a monetary contribution to this project all donations are greatly appreciated.
